š Hi there! Iām Andre Nader. I am on a mission to help fellow FAANG workers reach financial independence. I have worked over 15 years in tech, with 9.5 years at Facebook on the Product Growth team. I write about FIRE from the perspective of a tech worker who is living through it. There is a stigma that just because you earn a lot of money, you instantly know what you should be doing with it. FAANG FIRE is all about providing a free resource from someone you can trust that has walked in the same shoes you are walking through right now. I am a father to a 5-year-old and partner to my amazing wife Corin (who is also in tech). I have lived in San Francisco for the past 9 years and love it. At the same time, I spend a lot of time researching our escape. After all, having enough to retire early in San Francisco is very different from nearly anywhere else. My original goal was to be able to AvocadoFIRE in the next 5 years after hitting my enough number. When I was laid off from Meta in May 2023, I found myself thrust into a semi-FIRE life ahead of schedule.
