Matt Deboth is a Force Reconnaissance Marine, gone multi-family apartment investor!
-
After eight years as a Force Reconnaissance Marine, Matt took the leap of faith into multi-family apartment investing. He got started by house hacking a 20-unit apartment, virtually sight-unseen from Afghanistan! Since that time, he has purchased 142 units, and continues to grow his portfolio while giving back to the veteran (and non-veteran alike) community! Matt is crushing it!
-
His advice to an E-1/E-2 (18/20-year-old) is: Don’t take investment advice from somebody worth less money than you! Also, read books…and then more books!
-
the resource he recommends is: Rich Dad Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki, and The Millionaire Next Door by Thomas Stanley (both are found at this link)

-
His big idea/parting advice is: Keep learning! Attend meetups, become active on BiggerPockets.com and find local property owners to take to lunch!
