The “magic” number is $1.46mm according to a new study. I call B.S. because there’s no magic number or one-size-fits-all for anything in the financial world. 😤

In addition to the 4% rule I posted about recently, the 10x rule says to aim for 10 times your annual salary by age 67. For someone with a median income of $75,000, this translates to $750,000. For higher earners (top 20%, with incomes of $153,001 or more), the target is $1.53mm or higher.
